Indiana has many natural resources, and these resources are in danger. They are in danger from pollution, erosion, and budget cuts. Learning about each location’s conservation efforts, practicing proper waste disposal, joining in on fundraising activities, and spending time enjoying these treasures, can reduce these dangers.

This blog site offers articles and links to news and information about specific environment and conservation efforts and fundraisers, information about the histories of these treasures, and what types of amenities each property offers. In addition, environment articles provide links to other sites related to these topics.

Indiana has seventy-two state treasures located all over the state of Indiana. There are twenty-eight State Parks, fifteen State Forests, fifteen State Wildlife Areas, eight State Memorials, two State Wildlife Refuges, two State Fish Hatcheries, one State Fishing Area, and one State Nature Preserve. The state also has one National Forest, one National Memorial, one National Historic Park, and one National Wildlife Refuge. The goal of environment articles is to address and provide information about each location.
